This year is packed with juicy trends and actionable tips to help your business not just survive, but flourish in the future of branding.

Luxury brand design goes green!

According to a recent study, 66% of global consumers are willing to pay more for sustainable brands (Source: Simon-Kucher & Partners, Global Sustainability Study 2021). Closer to home, Australians are increasingly valuing brands that demonstrate social responsibility, they now have higher expectations of retailers and brands that are aligned with intrinsic value towards social justice and equality, as well as environmental concerns. As a branding studio in Melbourne with a strong sustainability ethos, we champion environmentally conscious branding through sourcing product packaging design materials better for the environment.

Some bath & body brands now use aluminum packaging. Unlike glass or plastic, aluminum can be recycled endlessly without losing quality. It’s fully reusable and recyclable.

Maximalism

It’s time to embrace “more is more”!

After years of minimalism, we will see a resurgence of bold colours, layered visuals, and intricate details. Think vibrant patterns, clashing textures, and a playful mix of typography. This trend is all about self-expression and creating designs that genuinely capture attention.

We’ve explored the maximalism style on a fast Korean Fashion Brand that is making its mark in the ever-growing Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, the brand identity is youthful and trendy. Our solution was to incorporate vibrant and playful graphics into the brand identity and brand collateral.

Hyper-Personalisation

Because one-size-fits-all is sooo last season!

Customers in 2025 crave personalised experiences that make them feel seen and valued.

Luxury brands are leading the way—think perfume bottles engraved with customers’ names, pastry boxes with handwritten letter cards, or skincare brands offering bespoke formulas based on skin type and concerns. Even high-end fashion labels are letting customers add monograms or select custom packaging colors.

By embracing hyper-personalisation, brands can forge deeper connections with their customers, build brand loyalty, and create a truly unique experience.

Immersive Storytelling

Emotion is a powerful tool in storytelling.

A British luxury department store’s rebranding crafted an entire world, disrupting the traditional luxury scene with Pleasurama: 300 pieces of packaging that takes popele on a “fabulous, hedonistic pleasure.”

This bold new identity  doesn’t stop at packaging. The Pleasurama concept has shaped every touchpoint of the brand—from fashion campaigns and interior design to social media, seasonal collections, and the store’s iconic window displays.

Cultural Authenticity

Celebrating diversity in branding.

2025 is a year of celebrating diversity and inclusivity. We’ve seen brands showcase products and experiences that resonate with a broader audience and avoid stereotypical portrayals.

Our luxury skincare packaging design for a skincare range is centered on their brand narrative of Chinese medicine and the pharmaceutical science of skincare. We wanted to demonstrate the two core components of the brand ethos, so we blended eternal Chinese knots and symbology that represents balance and renewal with the simplified scientific iconography of skin cells. The combined visuals resulted in an elegant logomark that reflected the brand’s identity.

A C-beauty major celebrates traditional Chinese beauty and craftsmanship. They collaborate with master artisans to design intricate packaging inspired by Chinese history and aesthetics. Collections like The Jade Collection pay homage to the purity and elegance of jade, reinterpreting it for modern beauty lovers.

The key? Brands authentically honor cultural heritage forge stronger connections with today’s mindful consumers.

AI Companionship

Your brand’s new best friend (yes, really!)

As AI technology rapidly evolves; brands leverage on this shockingly convincing movement.

Luxury brands like Versace, Loewe, Gucci, and Balmain are experimenting with AI-driven visuals

Independent creative director, Sybille de Saint Louvent, took this even further with 30 Days of Creativity, a project where she designed fashion campaigns entirely using AI.

It’s a glimpse into a world where brands can produce stunning visuals at lightning speed—without the sky-high costs of models, photographers, and production teams.

Whether you love it or hate it, one thing’s for sure: you can no longer ignore it.
